Baursak is a dessert made of strips of dough, deep—fried and soaked in sugar syrup.

Section 1. Ingredients
• Kefir – 1 cup
• Egg – 1 piece
• Dry yeast – 10g.
• Flour – 3 cups
• Sugar – 1 teaspoon
• Vegetable oil – 1 tablespoon
• Water – 0.5 cups
• Salt – 1 teaspoon
• Vegetable oil for deep frying
• Cooking time 1.5-2.5 hours
Section 2. Step-by-step instructions
1.Preheat kefir to a temperature of 35-40 degrees. Dissolve sugar and dry yeast in it and leave it in a warm place for 20 minutes.
2.In a separate container, mix salt, egg, vegetable oil for dough and water. Add this mixture to the sourdough and mix well.
3.Sift the flour through a fine sieve and knead the thick dough. So baursaks will turn out airy and soft.
4.Let the dough rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. After this time, knead the dough with your hands and set aside for 1 hour.
5.Divide the dough into balls of the same size and put them on a surface sprinkled with flour. You can roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut out shapes of different shapes. You can't fry baursaks right away, they should lie down for 20 minutes.
6.Heat vegetable oil in a pot or frying pan with high sides.
